This is Not A Joke 2009-11-13: This is Not A Joke - Misc Stuff This joke isn't at all funny. There were permutations of this joke that were funny...But when I went online to look at this iconic image there was no funny to be had. Does he really believe these things? I ask myself this. I am surrounded by cynical drunkards swinging their metaphorical dicks and I wonder if any of them believe any of the things they say. And the child in Africa is none the wiser. None of the grandiose ideals or Great Dreams make one bit of difference. His water is still tainted. He still suffers while we argue about the relative merits of conservatism versus liberalism.
